Kahapon mayroon akong nightmare.(engkanto business)sa start mayroon kaming night class,na late ako sa pag-uuwi sinabihan ko si Brandon about it. Akala ni Brandon si Charles ang late,umuwi ako sa bahay mayroon uninvented na psp na galing sa future nasa table lang iyan kinuha ko ito ,black,orange ang switch I on ko sana nakarinig ako ng pssssssssssssssst,alam ko enchanto iyon cause the last day I saw the psp it happen too pero ang diffrence ay nawala ang echanto at pagkatulog ko sa aking dream nakagising ako .Pagdating ko sa bahay nagka sakit ako my mom came home she was worried ,anyway my second dream was more carnage than the last dream I had.I did repeat the last time I did to let the engkanto away but it was still here .Na kolbaan ako .Ang engkanto ay may yellow eyes at kamuka ng mama ng classmate ni maxine.Mabuti ang conscious or that nag bust sa akin kapang mayroon akong ginawng kaslanan sinabihan niya ako na" gising na ,It is just a dream" I am safe from the engkanto attak . I really dont remember na nag sabi ako other words ,so if everyone who reads this just be safe and pwede kayo mag ask saakin about engkanto attak.

Freaky City

One morning I was in my way with my family together in my, I mean um........ something else
like , "the people's barangay"anyway ,I can't believe it! there is a mall a Dunkin Donut ,and even Jolibee
this is fun so we decided to go to Jolibee then buy some munchkin in Dunkin Donut but I can't resist the bunwich so I decided to look behind then there we go to the exit and go home.

House Work

Today Lean will sweep the floor said my mother. It was our time to do our weekly chores. Mom already had everything planned. I took out the broom to sweep the floor like Lean. My cousin Igiboy took the detergent to clean the windows and the floor and Maxine, my other cousin, took out the ironing board. All of us had something to do. However, as I was not good at sweeping, I did not do a good job. In the end, my mom had to clean the house again.

My cousin Igiboy was very clumsy. He splatted detergent all over the floor and the sofa. My mom was exasperated. She decided to take over. Maxine was the only one who was doing a good job. She ironed the garments well. But while she was ironing, she fell asleep. When she smell the smoke coming from under the iron behind her. She only remembered the iron when she heared my mom screamed. My mom was annoyed that she took over the ironing too. In the end, we watched TV and ate a potato chips. Mom said that we were not good at housework. However, we knew that she would definitely ask us to do that work again.

My Family

There are three members in my family. Iam the only child. We are a loving family. My family and I spend a lot time together. On weekends I am making a party lunch with my mother.
At night our whole family has a party dinner. We often talk about our day over party dinner. Although my father is tired after work, he listens attentively to what I have to say. He will give us his advice too. Every Saturdays and Sundays we go everywhere. Our favorite place is the mall. We are strolling in the mall. Me and my family are buying not beyond our budget. We also go to People's Park. Our parents are very energetic and active so they have no problems keeping up with us when we walk uphill. I also learnt a lot about the history of Philippines from them when we visit places like Mt. Apo . I am looking forward to going overseas with my family in the years to come . My father is taking everyone to New Zealand someday. I can not wait to go there.

I believed

I believe promises should be kept.
I believe brothers and sisters are made to teach.
I believe a simple smile can make anybody's day better.
I believe that being popular is not the key to life. I believe in being nice to nerds because you might grow up and have to work for one.

Judas' favorite book by Bob Ong

Judas'' Favorite Book" is a collection of various experiences of the author in which most filipino people can relate . The book are filled with humor and a trivia type style that is so easy to read and yet informative. It has a seven capital sins with a different topic and a story to tell in relation to a certain topic.
What I like most is the confusion it tangles in each topic presented with scrambled letters,
but if you get to learn the actual word that makes up the scrambled letters, you will appreciate how well this book is crafted and that is how well it was thought of. The presentation of the book is also quite interesting. It is covered with black like the way how the bible was packaged, of course with it's title and the author's name.

Mother s day

It was mother s day. I had an idea of what to do for mother s day. I made a beautiful card for
mother . I coloured it and i wrote happy mother s day ! . after i had finshed then i clean the
house .

Diving

One day, I was with my mom in Maasim while she and her colleague were diving.
When she gets out the sea, I asked her if she bring something for me .
I was a bit disappointed when she brings nothing but a smile.
She told me that when I'm a grown up I will also be allowed to dive and would also decide not to bring anything that lives there. They're aquatic living things that is for the sea and not for playing like a toy
I understand that.
I'd like to see my self diving too, one day.

Chinese New Year

True love

true love is a commitment. It is not defined by the emotional high and lows, but by a decision to love, and that choice is sustained by an uncompromising will.

A home like paradise

For me, a home must be your paradise. It should be relaxing on seemingly endless stretches of a wonderful garden and a backyard. To some, their dream house must have a touch of an adventure. Exploring areas, hiking vegetation and also an evening spot where you and your family can spend the dancing away. But for many people, it's probably a mix of it all.

I already have an idea of what to recommend for those who wanted to have a home like paradise. They must visit the Grayhawk Real Estate. You only be needing your internet connection and your personal computer to take a view of different kinds of wonderful houses that will surely give you the taste of paradise.

Science Odyssey

When the radio was invented in 1895, the first signals could be recieved about a mile away. Adding an antenna to the radio increased the range to almost two miles. By 1897 radio signals could picked up nine miles away from the sender.

Leadership

Leadership is not so much about technique and methods as it is about opening the heart. Leadership is about aspiration of oneself and of others. In the Philippines, I am still confused as to how our leaders understand that word. They all claimed to be intellegent but it doesn't show at all. I've never been so inspired hearing and seeing on television what they are now doing to our beloved country. ~Sighed~

Death

When asked how do I view death, I said death is the beginning of life.
I just heard it somewhere but I actually don't know why it is the beginning.

My story today is about the dead person I saw yesterday inside the coffin. My mom stayed in the house of Tita Gladys while I tried to asked their neighbor if it is possible to take a glance to the man inside the coffin. That was the first I saw death.
I didn't felt scared but I'm just so confused why we all need to die.

In time I will understand.
I maybe confused because no one is explaining things to me but I know in time I will understand.
Meanwhile I have to live the day happily. I'm a kid so I deserved it!

My Mom's grandmom would always tell me sad stories about what happened to her friend during the Japanese Occupation. Some were raped and most were killed. Her eyes, even in her old age, would tell me the painstaking experience she had.
It brings me to read more aticles about the Philippine-Japanese War.

World War II and Japanese Occupation 1941 - 1945

Japan had already been at war in Manchuria (1931) and China (1937) long before the Second World War started in Europe when Germany invaded Poland on September 1, 1939. By 1941, Japanese military expansion in the Asia-Pacific region had made confrontation and war with the United States increasingly certain.

In preparation for war, on July 26, 1941, General Douglas MacArthur brought the 12,000 strong Philippine Scouts under his command with the 16,000 American soldiers stationed in the Philippines. Even these combined forces were poorly trained and equipped for an adequate defence of the islands against a Japanese invasion.

The attack on the Philippines started on December 8, 1941 ten hours after the attack on Pearl Harbour in Hawaii. As at Pearl Harbour, the American aircraft were entirely destroyed on the ground. Lacking air cover, the American Asiatic Fleet in the Philippines withdrew to Java on December 12, 1941.

Japanese troops landed at the Lingayen Gulf on December 22, 1941 and advanced across central Luzon towards Manila. On the advice of President Quezon, General MacArthur declared Manila an open city on December 25, 1941 and removed the Commonwealth government to Corregidor. The Japanese occupied Manila on January 2, 1942.

MacArthur concentrated his troops on the Bataan peninsula to await the relief of reinforcements from the United States that, after the destruction at Pearl Harbour, could never come. The Japanese succeeded in penetrating Bataan's first line of defense and, from Corregidor, MacArthur had no alternative but to organize a slow and desperate retreat down the peninsula. President Quezon and Vice-President Osmena left Corregidor by submarine to form a government in exile in the United States. General MacArthur escaped Corregidor on the night of March 11, 1942 in PT-41 bound for Australia; 4,000 km away through Japanese controlled waters.

The 76,000 starving and sick American and Filipino defenders in Bataan surrendered to the Japanese on April 9, 1942. The Japanese led their captives on a cruel and criminal Death March on which 7-10,000 died or were murdered before arriving at the internment camps ten days later.

The 13,000 survivors on Corregidor surrendered on May 6, 1942.

For over three years and right to the day of Japan's surrender, the Philippines were to suffer grievously under the depredations of military occupation.

General MacArthur discharged his promise to return to the Philippines on October 20, 1944. The landings on the island of Leyte were accomplished massively with an amphibious force of 700 vessels and 174,000 army and navy servicemen. Through December 1944, the islands of Leyte and Mindoro were cleared of Japanese.

On January 9, 1945 the Americans landed unopposed at the Lingayen Gulf on Luzon and closed on Manila. The Japanese fought desperately, street by street, to hold the city. From February 3 to 23, its liberation took almost a month. When at last the fighting ended in the old Spanish citadel of Intramuros, Manila was in ruins.

Even after the capture of Manila, the Japanese fought on to the bitter end. The Americans made landings to remove the Japanese garrisons on Palawan, Mindanao, Panay and Cebu. The Japanese made their last stand entrenched in northern Luzon. General Yamashita, the Tiger of Malaya, did not surrender in Baguio until September 2, 1945; the same day as General Umezu surrendered formally for Japan on board the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay.

The liberation of the Philippines was costly. In the Philippines alone, the Americans lost 60,628 men and the Japanese an estimated 300,000. Filipino casualties are estimated at over a million and, sadly, these occurred mainly in the last months of the war when the final outcome had long been decided in any event.

The most serious long term consequence of World War II on the Philippines was to aggravate and embitter its internal social divisions. Prior to his departure for exile in the United States, President Quezon had advised Dr. Jose Laurel to stay behind and cooperate in the civil administration of the Japanese occupation. Whether it was good advice or not, President Quezon had hoped that with the cooperation of Filipinos, the occupation might be less severe. Following Laurel's morally ambiguous example, the Philippine elite, with regrettably few exceptions, collaborated extensively with the Japanese in their harsh exploitation of the country. President Laurel and his wartime government was despised.

On the contrary, the great majority of the Philippine people mounted a remarkably effective resistance to the Japanese occupation. Investigations after the war showed that 260,000 Filipinos had been actively engaged in guerrilla organizations and an even larger number operated covertly in the anti-Japanese underground. By the end of the war, the Japanese had effective control in only twelve of the country's forty-eight provinces.

The largest guerrilla organization was the Hukbalahap (People's Anti-Japanese Army) led by Luis Taruc. He had armed some 30,000 guerrillas who controlled most of Luzon.

By war's end, the members of the resistance firmly believed that the widespread collaboration and corruption of the well-to-do had discredited the ruling elite and that they had thereby forfeited any moral authority to govern.

The United States intended to restore the pre-war Commonwealth government. Luis Taruc and the Huks had well known socialist sympathies and communist associations. Despite their political affiliations, the Huks fully expected the American forces to treat them as allies and war heroes in recognition of their resistance and contribution to the war effort. Instead, the U.S. Army military police set out to disarm them as dangerous insurgents. MacArthur had Taruc arrested and jailed.
